Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice. We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.

Meet the Receptionist

The Receptionists' goal is to welcome patients and their families into our office and make them feel at home. She is eager to assist you with your scheduling needs as well as answer questions at the desk or on the phone. You'll find her working hard to make sure all your visits are started and finished on time and that your call is answered promptly with minimum time spent on hold.

Kathy

Kathy has been a receptionist at Gruelle Orthodontics since 2000. She is the first smiling face one sees as they walk through the door. You will even "hear" her smile on the phone as she calmly meets the needs of each call. Kathy has been married for 38 years and has 2 grown daughters.

"The best part of my job is becoming friends with the patients, their families, and most importantly,  their big smile at the end."

Meet the Administrative Staff

The Administrative Team's goal is to fulfill the supporting needs of the patients, their families and their Family Dental Office. They work behind the scenes to assist you with your financial and insurance needs and other office communications. Their experience and knowledge helps assure you receive the highest level of service from professionally trained and friendly staff members.

Debbie

Debbie has served Gruelle Orthodontics in all areas of the practice since 1977. She is responsible for helping the practice run smoothly and answering any treatment, insurance, or financial questions you may have. She handles computer, vendor, inventory and any technology issue that arises. Debbie has been married for 33 years and has 3 grown children and 1 grandson.

"It has been rewarding to be part of such a successful orthodontic practice from day one. Changes have been made over the years to embrace new technology in orthodontics, but one thing has stayed the same, Dr. Gruelle's honesty when presenting a treatment plan. He is so aware that each patient is a 'person' and gives all the options available to them so they can make the best informed decision for their child or themselves."

Kim

Kim is a behind the scenes multi-tasker. She is the person who created those financial papers that you 'love to sign.' She uses her soft-spoken personality to assist with receptionist duties and scheduling. She is pleased to help our patients with payment plans, insurance billing and their Flexible Spending Accounts. Kim has been with our team since 2009. She is married with 2 boys and is a true "hockey mom."

Meet the Dental Hygienist

The Dental Hygienists' role is to coordinate treatment needs between our office and other offices.   Many patients require a multidisciplinary approach to achieve the final result they deserve.

Kelley B.

Kelley has been with Gruelle Orthodontics since 2008. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, she is the liaison between the referring dental office and our practice. Her patient family consists of those who are higher risk based on health, hygiene and periodontal issues.In her spare time she enjoys sports and spending time with family and friends.

"I love watching how orthodontics changes people. Providing a warm and caring environment, and encouragement, where every patient feels special is important for a successful result."

Meet the Patient Care Team

The Patient Care Team's goal is to make every orthodontic appointment thorough, gentle and on-time. The Patient Care Managers have all completed extensive and ongoing training at Gruelle Orthodontics and also have completed many continuing education courses and licensing procedures. At each of your orthodontic visits, they will listen to your treatment concerns, inform you of the treatment you are receiving, answer your questions and help on your journey to your new Smile for a Lifetime.

Mary

Mary has been a Patient Manager since 1995. With 30 years of experience in the dental field, she is very adept with patients who have comprehensive dental needs. She's seen the impact having a great smile can have on patients firsthand and is aware that having a great smile benefits patients at school, work and even in their relationships. Mary is married with 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren, 1 dog and 2 horses.

"Dr. Gruelle always puts a smile on my face as well as our patients. He treats each and every patient as if they were family. I love working in a practice where all the team members work closely together to achieve the same excellent results for every patient."

Stephanie

Stephanie has been in orthodontics since she graduated from UNC in dental assisting in 1988. She joyfully shares her many years of orthodontic experience with the patients and families in our office. She also provides expertise to our hearing impaired patients.

"Years ago it was standard to have a lot of metal bands around each tooth and large wires and now patients can choose from clear tooth-colored braces, gold braces or even lingual braces placed on the inside of the teeth. There are so many esthetically pleasing choices for patients of all ages, including Invisalign treatment which straightens your teeth without braces!"

Stephanie is married with 3 children and loves to be outside, travel, photography, and being active in the community.

"I love meeting new patients and their families as well as getting to know families that have had multiple children in treatment over time. We love treating second and even third generations."

Tammy

Tammy has been a Patient Manager since 1982. She is also our Inventory Manager and has filled every roll in patient care. She is responsible for making sure that we meet and exceed the regulations that OSHA provides for sterilization and safety for all patients and our team members. Tammy has been married for 20 years, has 2 great kids and loves spending time with friends and family playing disc golf, swimming and just hanging out.

"It is such a thrill to see former patients bring their children in for Dr. Gruelle to treat. It is the ultimate compliment to our practice when former patients refer family and friends."

Sarah

Sarah is a Patient Manager and graduated in 2008 from the Institute of Medical and Dental Technology. Her effervescent personality places the apprehensive patients at ease, especially when the conversations gravitate to nature. Animals have a special place in her heart and seem to find their way into her home….even snakes.

"It is so exciting to be providing care in an office that is on the cutting edge in technology. Digital impressions and models and of course Invisalign allows orthodontic treatment that matches the patients' busy and high tech lifestyles."

Meet the Laboratory Technicians

Meet the Laboratory Technicians, whose goal is to provide the highest quality dental records for the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic conditions. They also fabricate appliances used to facilitate the movement and retention of teeth. Having access to the best equipment in the industry has raised the quality of their product to levels only hoped for in years passed.

Jean

Jean has been an orthodontic laboratory technician since 1984. She is an expert in the fabrication of orthodontic appliances and has taught many other staff members through the years. Her expertise includes computer generated impressions and models, and the fabrication of retainers and active orthodontic appliances.

"It is so exciting to work with the new technology Dr. Gruelle constantly introduces to better serve our patients. Who would have thought that most impressions are a thing of the past and Invisalign could be used on so many satisfied patients?"

Kelly Mc

Kelly Mc has been with the practice since 1997. She first became familiar with Gruelle Orthodontics when she, herself, was a teenage patient. Kelly wears several hats in the office by being the Records Coordinator as well as a Patient Manager and Laboratory Technician. She works with patients when they first get started in treatment by taking their records and again when they finish treatment. She has a gift for computers, photography and computer generated impressions and models. Kelly is married and has 3 boys.

"It's fun to share in some of the milestones in our patients' lives such as proms, graduations, even marriages, children and grandchildren. Of course, the best part is seeing the beautiful smile we've created together when treatment is over."
